IRHS Robotics
Who We Are
IRHS Robotics is a competitive robotics organization based at Iroquois Ridge High School. The team consists of 17 high school students organized into three sub-teams
Senior Team, 11230A: The most experienced builders, programmers, and drivers, who also act as mentors.
Intermediate Team, 11230B: Members actively building on foundational skills to gain competitive experience.
Recreational Team: New members learning core robotics principles under the guidance of senior mentors.
What We Compete In
We compete in the VEX Robotics Competition (VRC), a premier international STEM program. Throughout each season, our team engages in the full engineering lifecycle—iterative mechanical design, complex programming, and continuous hardware testing—to build robots capable of competing in challenging, team-based games. By participating in this program, we gain hands-on experience in engineering and technology, pushing ourselves to innovate and refine our systems through constant evaluation and real-world application.

What Funds are Used For
We rely on partnerships to bridge the gap between basic participation and competitive excellence:
Robot Hardware: High-performance sensors, motors, and structural components.
Field Elements: Official game kits required to test and refine our performance before events.
Registration & Logistics: Mandatory competition fees, travel, and the costs of representing our school at regional and international championships.
Workshop Tools: Specialized equipment for rapid prototyping and precision repairs.
